First meeting of the APEC Chile 2019 Steering Committee held

We talked about which Chilean cities will host the meetings, the agenda of work for 2019, the development of the APEC 2019 Regional Plan, the appointment of the coordinators and the prioritized list of work", explained Rodrigo Yáñez, Chile’s Vice Minister of Trade.

The first session of the APEC Chile 2019 Steering Committee took place this Friday. It was attended by Undersecretaries and senior officials from the ministries and services linked to the process. The purpose of the Steering Committee is to coordinate the agenda on the different issues related to the process for the year during which Chile will chair the forum.

"We talked about which Chilean cities will host the meetings, the agenda of work for 2019, the development of the APEC 2019 Regional Plan, the appointment of the coordinators and the prioritized list of work", explained Rodrigo Yáñez, Chile’s Vice Minister of Trade.

In addition to the Vice Minister of Trade, Rodrigo Yáñez, the meeting was attended by Chile’s Ambassador to the OECD, Felipe Morandé, Women and Gender Equity Undersecretary Carolina Cuevas, Telecommunications Undersecretary Pamela Gidi, the Director of International Affairs of the Finance Ministry, Juan Araya, the Public Affairs Coordinator of the Economy, Development and Tourism Ministry, Paula Costa, Chile's point of contact at the APEC Secretariat in Singapore, Helmut Lagos, SUBTEL's International Affairs Officer, Catalina Acherman, and the Executive Secretary of APEC Chile 2019, Paulina Nazal.
